GM: Good-Deed Doer Or Traitor?

General Motors spokesman Greg Martin puts it in the category of no good deed goes unpunished. And here it is: In early May, the automaker broke from the Big Three to join the pollution-busting U.S. Climate Action Partnership, whose goal is to cut greenhouse gases. But two weeks later, GM sponsored the annual dinner of the Competitive Enterprise Institute, which despises environmental regulation and handed out goody bags that included a satirical "carbon indulgence" coupon.
