GLAAD honors Ricky Martin, Russell Simmons

(CBS) Ricky Martin and Russell Simmons were among the top honorees at the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation's 22nd Annual Media Awards ceremony.

Martin was given the Vito Russo Award, named for one of GLAAD's co-founders, and Simmons the Excellence in Media Award. Other honorees include "30 Rock," which received the Outstanding Individual Episode (in a series without a regular LGBT character) for "Klaus & Greta" and "True Blood" for Outstanding Drama Series.

More awards will be presented in Los Angeles on April 10 and in San Francisco on May 14.
