(CBS News) Giuliana and Bill Rancic's have been candid about their struggle to become parents, and now they're opening up about their decision to have a baby through surrogacy.

The couple, who announced Monday they are expecting their first child this summer via a gestational carrier, will host a 30-minute special airing Tuesday on the Style Network, called "Giuliana & Bill: Baby Dreams."

"Over the years we have opened our lives to Style viewers," the couple said in a statement. "We are thrilled to be able to share this happy news with our fans and to help inform others who may also be struggling with fertility. This Style special will answer many questions we also had during this process."

The special will air at 9 p.m. EDT, following an hour-long installment of "Giuliana & Bill" that features the moment the couple learned they were having a baby.

In a clip from Tuesday's episode, they receive the happy news in a phone call from their doctor.

"We've got the pregnancy test," he tells them. "It's completely 100 percent positive. She's carrying a baby."

The pair immediately gets emotional. "Thank you, we're so happy, thank you so much," Giuliana, 37, tells him through tears.

The Rancics' decision to have a baby via a gestational carrier comes after the couple went through multiple rounds of IVF, a miscarriage and Giuliana's breast cancer diagnosis, which led to her having a double mastectomy last year.
