Girl Scouts robbed selling cookies outside Wal-Mart
(CBS/AP) BOWIE, Md. - Girl Scout Leah Sawyer has a message for the two thieves who police say stole her cookie dough last month: "Give us back the Girl Scout money!"
Maryland police are searching for two men suspected of stealing money from Girl Scouts who were selling cookies at a Wal-Mart store last month.
Police in Bowie say a man approached the scouts on Oct. 28, and asked how much the cookies cost. Then the suspect grabbed the scouts' cash box and fled. A witness chased the man, but stopped when another man told her he would catch the thief.
Police say surveillance video from Wal-Mart appears to show the two men together. The suspects got away with $200 from the scouts.
A police spokesman said Tuesday that investigators are still on the lookout for the two suspects.
