Girl, 2, found alone with pregnant mom's dead body
CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. -- A pregnant Georgia woman was found shot to death in her home with her 2-year-old daughter alive by her side, reports CBS affiliate WGCL.
Thirty-six-year-old Nakita Holland, who was reportedly due to give birth in eight days, was found dead in her Carrollton bedroom on Monday by her sister. Holland's unborn child also did not survive the shooting.
"I'm just lost for words because I'm the one who found my sister," Syconda Walker told the station. "I just want justice to be served."
Walker said she had last heard from Holland on the Fourth of July.
"I have to be strong for my niece. It's not really about me. I have to live [with] that. I just have to go day by day with the strength of my family, friends, and God," Walker said.
No arrests have been made in the case.
