Gillibrand Sworn In
Kirsten Gillibrand is now a United States senator.
Gillibrand was a little known two-term congresswoman from upstate New York until last Friday, when Gov. David Paterson appointed her to replace Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as the state's junior senator.
Vice President Joe Biden administered the oath to Gillibrand a short time ago. You can watch the video below:
