(CBS/AP) CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The murder trial of former University of Virginia lacrosse player George Huguely V has been delayed again because a defense attorney is sick.
Huguely's first-degree murder trial for the death of Yeardley Love had resumed Friday morning, despite the absence of a member of his defense team, who was ill for a second day. But by mid-morning the defense said it didn't want to proceed without attorney Rhonda Quagliana, and the judge relented.
The defense is to resume making its case on Saturday.
Huguely, 24, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his former girlfriend Love in May 2010.
Prior to the delays, the defense had been expected to wrap up the majority of its case on Thursday.
