Gavin Smith Missing: Family offers $20K reward for information leading to Fox executive's return

(CBS/KCBS) WEST HILLS, Calif. - The family of missing 20th Century Fox executive Gavin Smith announced that they will offer a $20,000 reward for information that will bring him home.

Smith, 57, who has been an executive in Fox's movie distribution division for more than 18 years, was last seen driving his black Mercedes 420E sedan on May 1 near his Oak Park home.

The missing executive's wife and three sons announced the reward on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Times reports.

"We truly need assistance from the public. We need additional tips and we are hoping the public can provide them," Smith's wife Lisa, reportedly said. "We don't know where Gavin is."

According to CBS Los Angeles, Smith's family has not heard from him all this time. Investigators say they family now hopes a reward will help garner information that will lead to Smith's return.

Smith is described as 6-feet-6 inches tall, about 210 pounds. He has a goatee, gray hair with blond highlights and green eyes. He is reportedly married and the father of three.

Authorities are asking for the public's help. They're asking anyone with information to call 800-222-TIPS (8477).
