Gabby Giffords, Mark Kelly writing a memoir
NEW YORK (CBS/AP) November is shaping up to be a hot month in the publishing world.
First, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's memoir, "No Higher Honour" will be published Nov. 1, and then on Nov. 15, a joint memoir by Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and her husband, retired astronaut Mark Kelly, is coming out.

The book, titled "Gabby: A Story of Courage and Hope," was written with "The Last Lecture" co-author Jeffrey Zaslow.
Scribner spokesman Brian Belfiglio said Wednesday that Giffords "has been fully engaged with the collaborative writing process of the book at every step." An Arizona Democrat, she is still recovering from the injuries she received Jan. 8 when a gunman opened fire outside a Tucson-area grocery store as she met with constituents.
According to Scribner, the book will be a "deeply personal account" covering everything from Giffords' political career to Kelly's time on the Space Shuttle Endeavour to her recovery over the past several months.
Rice's memoir is expected to cover her years in Washington with the Bush administration. It follows on the heels of former Vice President Dick Cheney's controversial memoir on the Bush years that hit store shelves earlier this month.
