Free Security Tool Insulates Your PC from Online Threats

Remember security tool BufferZone Pro from a couple weeks ago? It promised to turn your PC into an impenetrable fortress -- but it was limited to 32-bit versions of Windows.

If you like the idea of working in a virtual environment that's safely walled off from the rest of your PC, but need a 64-bit solution, check out Returnil System Safe Pro. It normally sells for $40 per year, but for a limited time you can get a one-year System Safe Pro license for free.

System Safe Pro creates a clone of your operating system, a "sandbox" in which you can run your software and hit the Web just like you normally would. If that sandbox gets hit with a virus or some other kind of infection, no problem -- just reboot your PC. The infected virtual environment gets purged, the malware along with it. Your actual OS stays safe and sound.

Solutions like these can be ideal for business owners, as they protect against zero-day attacks and other threats that can slip past even the most robust anti-virus software.

System Safe Pro works with Windows XP, Vista, and 7, as well as Server 2003 and 2008. I'm not sure how long this giveaway will run, so if you want a year's worth of safe computing without the $40 price tag, grab it fast.
