Free iPhone App Captures, Shares Whiteboard Data
Perhaps you're that guy in every meeting who is tasked with the duty of copying all the notes from the whiteboard. You'd prefer to just take a picture, of course, but you can't, because your iPhone isn't optimized for dingy conference room lighting, and the photos come out too hard to read. Well, I've got an iPhone app that will solve all those problems.
Free iPhone app Whiteboard Share captures conference-room whiteboards and e-mails the results to whoever you like.
This app has a pretty narrow mission, but it accomplishes it pretty well. Whiteboard Share adjusts the brightness and contrast to make the whiteboard look natural and readable, and it e-mails the image at the full, original resolution. It can also send the original un-retouched photo as well in case anyone needs to compare.
It's nifty, but I'd love to see some additional tweaks to make it even more convenient, like the ability to save meeting attendees as a mailing group for easy sharing. The program should also let you capture and send multiple images at once. Whiteboards are long, after all, and you can't generally capture the whole thing in one shot.
