Nearly a year after Forbes launched a new print product, ForbesLife Executive Woman magazine, the magazine publisher is now going to create a new website around it, the company announced. To run it, Forbes has hired WSJ vet Carol Hymowitz as editorial director of the ForbesLife Executive Woman group, which encompasses print and online. She'll be managing the web effort starting next month. Most recently, Hymowitz was a senior editor and columnist at WSJ, where she wrote the "In the Lead" column. She also developed and edited the Journal's "Women to Watch" coverage and managed the yearly conference of the same name. Her departure continues the exodus of several other WSJ staffers since parent Dow Jones was bought by News Corp (NYSE: NWS). last year. As for Forbes, this is the mag's second high-profile editorial hire this week. Former FT and WSJ editor Tunku Varadarajan was just tapped to head the revamped Opinions Channel as editor.
