Florida deputy's daughter, 3 others, arrested in homicide

TITUSVILLE, Fla. -- Deputies arrest four people, including the daughter of a deputy, in connection with the murder of a man whose body was found June 1, reports CBS affiliate WKMG.

Rayshaan Berry's remains were discovered on the side of a highway in Titusville, Fla. Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said in a statement that Berry's remains were dumped there after he was murdered in a motel room not far away.

David Richardson, 25; Sir Aljenon Ingram, 22; Kendrick Kitchen, 23; and Lauren Hudgens, 22, a Brevard County deputy's daughter, have each been charged with robbery with a firearm and first-degree murder.

"Agents obtained arrest warrants after the investigation revealed that Hudgens lured Berry to a local motel, under the ruse of engaging in prostitution. After arriving at the arranged location, Berry was ambushed by a group who intended to take his money," Ivey said. He added that tips from members of the community contributed to the investigation.

The group allegedly intended to rob Berry, but he refused and was shot.

Deputies expect more arrests to be made in relation to this homicide.
