#FleetFoxes releases album online for free

Pitchfork.com

Up and coming indie rock sensation Fleet Foxes are making waves today. They released their second full length album for free online, just a week before its official debut.

Indie iconic label Sub Pop records is hosting the stream in conjunction with NPR Music. The album has already caught the attention of elitist music authority Pitchfork.

A true word-of-mouth success story, Fleet Foxes gained massive popularity after recording their first demo in 2006. The band attracted a quarter million listens on their Myspace page before releasing a single album.

"Helplessness Blues," their sophomore effort, comes nearly three years after their critically acclaimed debut full length album hit store shelves. It may be a long time between releases, but it seems this extended period was put to good use as the opinion online suggests that listeners are receiving the album positively.

But, if you're still not convinced, take a moment and listen for yourself. Fleet Foxes "Helplessness Blues" officially releases worldwide May 3rd.
