Fla. woman doesn't steal $1800...honestly

CBS

(CBS Miami) BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - A South Florida woman didn't steal $1800 on Sunday.

Why is that newsworthy? Because, according to CBS Miami, $1800 is how much easy cash was poking out of a drive-thru ATM deposit slot at a Chase Bank in Boynton Beach, when 46-year-old Adriana Allen happened by.

According to a police incident report, Allen said she didn't see any other cars around when she pulled up to the ATM. She even tried to push the cash back into the deposit slot but the machine wouldn't accept it.

Still, instead of pocketing the money, honest Adriana called the police and held on to the stack of $100 bills until an officer arrived, CBS Miami reported.

Police will keep the cash in evidence until bank officials determine whose it is.

On the police department's Facebook page, officers thanked Allen for "her honesty and compassion, and for doing the right thing."

What, no reward?
