Fla. teen arrested for calling 911 to complain about his mom, report says

Vincent Valvo WTSP

(CBS) VERO BEACH, Fla. - Vincent Valvo, a 19-year-old Florida man, was arrested for calling 911 twice to complain that he didn't like how his mother was talking to him, CBS affiliate WTSP reports.

This is not considered an acceptable use of 911, unless your mother is REALLY behaving badly.

Police arrested Valvo outside his Vero Beach home at 4:30 a.m. on April 11 after he made the second phone call, according to WTSP.  In both calls, Valvo reportedly complained about his mother and he was warned after his first call about the penalties for repeatedly calling 911 for a non-emergency.

Police say Valvo smelled of alcohol when they arrived, the station reports.

He was released from jail on the afternoon of April 11 after posting $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court in May.

There is no word on what Valvo's mom said that inspired him to call 911 (but feel free to offer your suggestions).
