Fla. man guilty of trying to lure child to have sex

(CBS) ORLANDO, Fla.- Justin Herring was found guilty of attempting to entice a child to engage in sexual activity, the U.S. Attorney's office reported.

The 30-year-old Orlando man was arrested in an undercover child-sex sting and was convicted by a federal jury on Tuesday, reports the Orlando Sentinel.

Herring faces 10 years to life in prison and will be sentenced in November. Prosecutors said Herring communicated with undercover detectives posing as the fathers of children online in order to arrange to have sex with the girls.

After months of planning, Herring traveled by bus in June to meet one of the undercover agents at an Orlando restaurant so that he could have sex with the child. Herring was arrested when he arrived at the Perkins restaurant.
