Fix Outlook Features That Have Stopped Working

Have you ever gotten a cryptic message from Outlook that some add-in or feature is not working right? Or have you noticed that some feature doesn't do its thing anymore? It's probably easier to fix than you might think.

As AppScout points out in a post on fixing disabled Outlook items, Outlook will disable an add-in if it appears to hang or impede Outlook's normal performance. But often, that was just a transient error, and you can re-enable the plug-in without a harm.

To do that, click Help, Disabled Items and see if there's anything waiting in Outlook Limbo. If there is, you can enable it. Don't worry -- if it's truly problematic, Outlook should disable the software again on its own.
