Final House Race Decided
With absentee ballots still being counted, Republican Molly Bordonaro on Thursday conceded the 1st District congressional race to Democrat David Wu. It was the last congressional race in the country to be decided.
Wu's win means the new House of Representatives will have 223 Republicans, 211 Democrats and one independent. Currently, there are 228 Republicans, 206 Democrats and one independent.

He takes over the seat vacated by Democratic Rep. Elizabeth Furse. The 1st District extends from Portland's suburbs to Oregon's northwest coast.
With just 41 percent of the vote counted, Wu had 54 percent of the vote to 43 percent for Bordonaro.
Bordonaro said she called Wu to congratulate him.
"It became clear that it would be very difficult to win," she said in a news conference in the living room of her home.
"I know the Democrats came in very early for David Wu and spent a lot of money on negative attacks," she said.
Wu will be the first Chinese-American representative in the U.S. House.
