Fergie To Star In Candie's Campaign

Wearing an off-kilter tiara perched in her tousled hair and forming a generous pink bubble with her chewing gum, pop star Fergie shows off her fergilicious-ness in a new ad campaign for Candie's.

The female member of hip-hop supergroup Black Eyed Peas, riding high on the success of her solo album "The Dutchess," will appear in the junior brand's spring 2007 multimedia advertising and marketing print and television campaign.

Fergie joins past Candie's spokespeople Destiny's Child, Hilary Duff, Dixie Chicks and Jenny McCarthy. Candie's is sold exclusively at Kohl's department stores and on Kohls.com.

The first television ad of the campaign will debut during the Grammys, airing live from Los Angeles Feb. 11 on CBS.

2"I had so much fun shooting the campaign, playing up the glam side of my personality, and I am excited to have my current single, 'Glamorous' be the music for the TV commercial," the singer said in a statement released Wednesday.

The commercial features Fergie hanging out in her Beverly Hills home while a voyeur looks on. Fergie realizes that someone is watching her and she plays it up in what the advertiser describes as "a fun and sexy Candie's way."

Candie's and Kohl's will be sponsoring Fergie's "The Dutchess" tour this spring/summer. Candie's Web site also will feature a "Dutchess For A Day" contest. The winner will be flown to Los Angeles for the next Candie's and Fergie photo shoot to have lunch with the pop star.
