Female escort, 19, charged in suffocation death of client

PALM BEACH, Fla. - A 19-year-old female escort has been arrested for allegedly suffocating a man in January, reports the Palm Beach Post.

Andrea Nicole Alvira was taken into custody Wednesday night and denied bond in court Thursday morning, according to the paper. She is charged with second-degree murder in the suffocation death of 22-year-old Brandon May, who she allegedly chased down and attacked.

The suspect will remain in the Palm Beach County Jail awaiting her next hearing.

The paper obtained the arrest report, which states that Alvira was hired and driven by an associate to meet May just after 3 a.m. on Jan. 15 in suburban Lake Worth, Fla., in Palm Beach County. May reportedly told the suspect that he did not have a condom or money and that he would leave and return later to the car where the two met.

The report states that Alvira told officers she waited for May to return for 30 minutes before leaving with her associate. She reportedly called May again later and had her driver take her back to the initial rendezvous point. According to the report, a security guard showed up while she was waiting. Alvira reportedly said she was "waiting for her uncle," and the guard left.

Around 5 a.m., May showed up and he and Alvira were captured on security camera footage walking to a lake area in the community, the report states. The same security guard again approached the car Alvira had arrived in and spoke with her associate. The associate called Alvira and told the guard that May owed her money, according to the report.

The Post said that, soon after talking with Alvira's driver, the security guard saw the suspect chasing May and called 911.

Alvira reportedly wound up on top of the victim in the front yard of a home, where she was allegedly holding him down with her knee on his neck, according to the paper. He reportedly pleaded with the home's owner to get his attacker off him "before she broke his neck." The report states that Alvira told the homeowner that May had raped her. The man was unconscious when deputies arrived.

The report states that Alvira later told investigators May had robbed and raped her, so she bit him and held him down until he went limp. Investigators said her story does not match the video evidence, witness statements or physical evidence on the victim's body.

According to the report, May was placed on life support and died the next day. The cause of death - suffocation - was not determined until March 26.
