NEW YORK (CBS) Actress and model Felicia Lee, who also performed under the name Felicia Tang, was a stunner. And now she's gone.
Her boyfriend, Brian Lee Randone, a self styled preacher and reality TV contestant, tortured and murdered her, say police, extinguishing that flame forever.
But Lee will be remembered both by her body of work, some of it controversial, and by friends and family who knew her best.
Her biggest star turn as an actress came in Rush Hour 2 with Jackie Chan. She also performed in "The Fast and the Furious" and had done some modeling for the Playboy television channel, according to her Web site, which she shut down last year.
The Singapore-born Lee also appeared in adult films such as "Hotel Decadence" and "Peach Ultra Vixens: Asians." Lee could also be seen with reality star Tila Tequila in a popular 2003 erotic video found online, Lee and Tequila both nude and fondling each other in a pool.
But to friends and loved ones she was more than an actress and model.
Lee's family gave a statement to the Los Angeles Times in which they said, "Felicia loved life and lived it to its fullest. However, she was more than just a public figure. Felicia was above all a human being, a daughter, a sister, a friend to many who continue to love and honor her, as much in life and in her passing."
The Times also spoke with fellow model Candace Kita, who said, "The perception that she is this porn star makes people think this is a horrible ending to a horrible life," Kita said.
"She did not deserve to be beaten," she told the paper. "She was a nice gal and she didn't deserve it."
