Fake Cop-Real Cop: Fake officer charged for trying to arrest real one in Albuquerque

Tyree Appleberry allegedly impersonated an Albuquerque, N.M. police officer, then unknowingly tried to arrest an undercover detective KRQE
(CBS/AP) ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Police say a man who pretended to be an Albuquerque police officer is facing charges, after he pulled over a real police detective.

Don't you hate when that happens?

KOB TV reports that Tyree Appleberry was arrested Wednesday on charges of impersonating a police officer and driving on a suspended license.

According to police, the 42-year-old, moonlighting as a security guard, turned on the blue and white strobe lights on his white Chevy Tahoe in an attempt to stop a driver... who happened to be an undercover officer. When the undercover cop told Appleberry he was a real police officer, Appleberry tried to flee.

Authorities say Appleberry already had a warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in court for a reckless driving charge.
