(CBS/AP) CARLSBAD, N.M. - A Texas man posts a Facebook status update.

His estranged wife in New Mexico doesn't respond.

So, police say, the Texas man goes to his wife's house, where he hits her and pulls her hair.

Definitely bad Facebook etiquette.

The Texas man, 36-year-old Benito Apolinar, is facing battery charges after confronting his estranged wife Dolores because she didn't respond to his status update. The Carlsbad Current-Argus reports that Apolinar was arrested Monday after a fight at his wife's Carlsbad home.

According to the criminal complaint, Apolinar posted a comment on his Facebook page about the anniversary of his mother's death, but Dolores Apolinar did not click "like."

Sounds like it's time to unfriend.
