Ex-priest among 5 charged in cross-country meth ring
(CBS/AP) BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - A federal grand jury in has indicted a former Roman Catholic priest and four other people in an alleged drug operation involving shipments of methamphetamine from California.

Prosecutors say 61-year-old Kevin Wallin of Waterbury, Conn., a former
pastor at St. Augustine's parish in Bridgeport, received shipments of
meth and sold the drugs to an undercover officer
over the past four months. .
Wallin is charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and six counts of possession with intent to distribute, CBS Connecticut reports.
The Diocese of Bridgeport says Wallin resigned as pastor of St. Augustine's in June 2011, citing health and personal issues.
Also charged with conspiracy in the case are 52-year-old Kenneth Devries of Waterbury, 40-year-old Michael Nelson of Manchester, 43-year-old Chad McCluskey of San Clemente, Calif., and 47-year-old Kristen Laschober of Laguna Niguel, Calif.
All five suspects are detained.
