The condition of former Cleveland Indians pitcher and broadcaster Herb Score remained critical but stable Tuesday as he recovered from car accident injuries.
The 65-year-old former pitcher, who was injured Oct. 8 in New Philadelphia, still was on a ventilator to aid his breathing, said spokesman Jim Goski of MetroHealth Medical Center.
Score joined the Indians TV broadcast team in 1964, moved to radio in 1968 and retired in 1997. A left-handed strikeout artist, Score was the American League rookie of the year in 1955.
