Ex Gitmo Detainee Carries Suicide Attack in Mosul

Two Kuwaitis, including a former Guantanamo detainee, carried out a suicide attack in Mosul, Iraq on Wednesday, according to a report posted on a jihadi Internet forum.

The report identified the two men as Nasser al-Dossary and Abdullah al-Ajmi.

Al-Ajmi was 29-year-old and had been held in extrajudicial detention in Guantanamo. His Guantanamo detainee ID number was 220. He was repatriated to Kuwait on November 3, 2005 and was taken into custody by Kuwaiti authorities, who larer released him on bail, while awaiting trial. Al- Ajmi was acquitted by a Kuwaiti court on July 22, 2006.
