Esperanza Spalding performs new songs on "The Daily Show"

(CBS News) Grammy-winning performer Esperanza Spalding made a splash Thursday night during her visit to "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart"

The 27-year-old jazz bassist and singer stopped by the Comedy Central show to play "Black Gold" and "Crowned & Kissed," two songs from her new album, "Radio Music Society."

Spalding took home the best new artist Grammy in 2011.

She will be on tour from April through July.
