"Endangered" Ore. teen may be with transient, police say

OREGON CITY, Ore. - Samantha Dodson, a 13-year-old from Oregon City, Ore., is considered endangered and may be with a 40-year-old man who has no known address, reports CBS affiliate KOIN.

Dodson was last seen Tuesday in the Oregon City area. She is described as being 5-feet-4 and about 125 pounds with recently dyed red hair.

Authorities believe the teen may be with Kelsey McCune, who is described as being 6 feet tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He has a glass eye and salt-and-pepper hair, reports the station.

Authorities said the teen may have left willingly with McCune, who is a friend of her father's. McCune reportedly spent Thanksgiving with the Dodson family.

Samantha Dodson has no history of running away or of suicide attempts, according to the station.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office said the pair might be looking for places to camp.

On Thursday, SWAT officers reportedly canvassed an Oregon City neighborhood in connection with the investigation into Dodson’s disappearance.

Sgt. Robert Wurpes, a sheriff’s spokesman, said SWAT teams were scouring the Newell Creek Canyon.

Anyone with information on Dodson or McDune’s wherabouts is asked to call 911.
