Elizbeth Hurley joining "Gossip Girl," March returns to SVU
(CBS) It's been a bonanza of a week in TV casting. First we learned Chord Overstreet isn't returning to "Glee."
Now there's more TV casting news: "Law & Order: SVU" is bringing back Stephanie March and Diane Neal as ADAs Alexandra Cabot and Casey Novak. And Elizabeth Hurley is joining "Gossip Girl." Yikes!
Pictures: TV stars out of a job
According to The Hollywood Reporter, March and Neal's return will coincide with "a little more grounded" approach for the show's 13th season. Christopher Meloni is not returning but Mariska Hargitay will. "SVU" is the last "Law & Order" franchise left standing after the cancellation of "Law & Order: Los Angeles."
Hurley will join "Gossip Girl" for a multi-story arc, reports TVLine. She co-starred in the "Wonder Woman" pilot that didn't get picked up for a series. On "Gossip Girl," Hurley will star as Diana Payne, a tough media mogul.
