Smart, who is currently a senior at Brigham Young University, is engaged to Matthew Gilmour, who is from Scotland. The two reportedly met while Smart was serving on an LDS mission in France last year, reports The Salt Lake Tribune.

According to online wedding registries at Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn, the couple plans to marry on July 1 in Utah.

Smart's rep Chris Thomas says he cannot confirm the wedding date or the name of her fiance but says the two are definitely planning on a summer wedding.

Ed Smart, Elizabeth's father, says his daughter "wants to keep it very private and feels very strongly about that right now," reports People.

Brian David Mitchell was convicted in 2010 of Smart's 2002 kidnapping and sexual assault. He's serving a life prison sentence.
