Edwards Continues Criticizing Obama

LAS VEGAS -- John Edwards rallied three to four hundred supporters outside his campaign headquarters in Las Vegas this morning, his last public event in Nevada before the state's caucuses tomorrow evening.
Edwards set his crosshairs on Barack Obama again, hitting him on his praise for Ronald Reagan and - more forcefully - on the anti-Clinton Spanish radio ad from an ouside group supporting the Illinois senator.
"From what I've seen, Senator Obama has not said a single word about this," said Edwards about the ad. "He should speak up. If he really means what he says - and this is not just talk - he should speak up and denounce this kind of divisive poltics."
And in a bold twist, Edwards challenged Obama's self-proclamation as a uniter.
"Vis a vis Senator Obama," said Edwards, "I will not divide America, I will unite America when I am President of the United States."
Edwards also focused his message to union members, especially those who belong to labor organizations who threw their support behind other candidates (that's you, culinary union).
"Regardless of who your political leadership chose to support or endorse," said Edwards, "nobody - nobody - will fight for you and the right to organize and the right to collectively bargain like I will."
Edwards was upbeat during his 13-minute speech and was quick to share his mood with crowd right at the top.
"There's no way in the world presidential campaigns should be this much fun," he said.
