(CBS) - With all of the news of Amazon's new Kindle Fire tablet, we wanted to do a roundup of traditional eBook readers for budget-conscious consumers.
Geared toward people who only want to use the device to read books, eBook readers don't have all of the bells and whistles of tablets, but they also come at a much lower price.
There are benefits of using an eBook reader rather than a tablet, as well. Now that "eReaders" offer Wi-Fi capabilities, eBooks are more accessible. And you can read your books in the sun with no problem. A byproduct of using a less sexy device than an iPad also eases fear of theft.
