Earth, July 24, 2010 documented on YouTube

It was a prodigious experiment involving more than 4,500 hours of footage from around 80,000 video clips uploaded to YouTube by people around the globe. The common theme: Record the events of July 24, 2010 as they occurred in your corner of the world.

After a commercial run, the edited 90-minute documentary, produced by Kevin Macdonald and Ridley Scott, is now available for free on YouTube with subtitles in 25 languages.
