Early Frontrunners for CMT Awards

In the first round of CMT Music Awards nominations, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and Lady Antebellum have all received nods.

The fan-voted awards show announced Tuesday that Lady Antebellum, Sugarland and Jason Aldean are nominated in four categories, while stars Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Brooks & Dunn and Brad Paisley were nominated for three each.

The first round of voting kicked off April 5 and will run through May 3 at CMT.com.

CMT will announce the four finalists in each category except video of the year on May 11. The finalists for the Video of the Year category, which includes 10 nominees, will be announced at the start of the show on June 9. Fans will vote throughout the live show via text message.
