Eagles Lose Douglas 4-6 Weeks
Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Hugh Douglas will miss four to six weeks after partially tearing a ligament in his left knee during Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay.
Douglas, who led the team with 12 1/2 sacks last season, was injured after accidentally getting hit by teammate Mike Mamula in the Bucs' backfield.
"Hugh is taking an aggressive approach to recovery, and he could return sooner," Eagles coach Andy Reid said.
Reid also said wide receiver Dietrich Jells will likely play this week against Buffalo despite spraining his right ankle. Cornerback Bobby Taylor is also expected to play with an ankle injury.
