(CBS) Chris Brown is scheduled to perform during tonight's "Dancing with the Stars" elimination show, but host Tom Bergeron isn't too eager to chat with the star.

Bergeron explained on Ryan Seacrest's radio show Monday that if he talks with Brown during the program, he would likely ask about the singer's blowup following an interview on "Good Morning America" last week.

Chris Brown apologizes for tantrum on morning show

"I did say to the producers it might be to their advantage to not have me interview him, because my natural tendency would be to say something. So, don't put me in a position where you are asking me not to say something, because I really won't do that," he said, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The Washington Post reports that Brown is scheduled to perform two songs during tonight's broadcast.

The singer allegedly broke a window in his dressing room after "GMA" co-anchor Robin Roberts repeatedly asked about his 2009 attack on former girlfriend Rihanna during an interview.

Brown later apologized for the outburst, saying he was under the impression that the interview would only focus on his new album, "F.A.M.E."
