Dutch Man Bites Police Over Pet Peeve, Says Report
NEW YORK (CBS) It wasn't quite man-bites-dog, but there was a man and there was a pet and there was biting.
Dutch police arrested an 82-year-old man after he allegedly bit and kicked officers who had arrived at his house to intervene during a fight with a neighbor over a pet.
According to Reuters, officials said the elderly man was leaving on his bicycle when police arrived at the man's home in the Dutch village of Nijkerk.
When police asked the man to identify himself, the 82-year-old jumped off his bike and proceeded to attack the officers, reports the news agency.
The man, who has not been named, was taken to police headquarters and was released after questioning.
