A few weeks ago, reports surfaced that Lifetime Television was filming a movie about Peterson, starring Rob Lowe as the former Bolingbrook police officer.

Peterson's attorney Walter Maksym says he's sent a letter to those involved with the movie saying that the commercial use of Peterson's name, likeness and story are illegal because Peterson didn't give his written authorization as required by law.

The Chicago Tribune reports that Maksym sent the seven-page letter to Lifetime Entertainment, A&E Television Networks, Disney, and to actor Rob Lowe.
