The collision resulted in one car erupting in flames, which spread to a portion of the bus.

There were no passengers on the bus, but witnesses said there were three or four people were in the burning car.

They said good Samaritans rushed in to help, including Carlos Coleman, who used a knife to help cut one of the victims out of the car.

"His legs burned," said Coleman. "It burned his legs from the fire."

Video showed one of the people from the car badly hurt. In all, firefighters said, seven people were taken to a hospital.

Some witnesses say they saw the car speed through the intersection.
