Dramatic French Prison Break

Hundreds of police continue their search for three people involved in a daring helicopter escape from a French prison.

Authorities believe five inmates escaped Saturday when the chopper flew over the prison's exercise yard and dropped lines to the convicts. Three were recaptured quickly after being shot and wounded during the escape. One was found dead of gunshots fired by prison guards.

That leaves one escapee, along with the the man who commandeered the helicopter and a female accomplice, still on the loose.

It was the eighth helicopter-assisted prison escape in France since 1981.
