Donald Trump is striking hard at Hillary Clinton over her recent remarks that she "short-circuited" when discussing her private email use in media interviews. The GOP presidential nominee implied that Clinton was "brainwashed" and unfit to occupy the Oval Office.

Trump lashed out at the former secretary of state on his favorite social media platform Saturday, tweeting out his attacks in the morning:

The Republican nominee was harping on Clinton's statements to black and Hispanic reporters Friday at a journalism conference in Washington, D.C., where she was questioned on her truthfulness about her home-brewed email server.

Asked about her debunked claims in a "Fox News Sunday" interview that FBI Director James Comey had said she was "truthful" and "consistent" about her emails, the Democratic nominee told reporters Friday that she "may have short-circuited" her explanation.

"For that I, you know, will try to clarify," she said, "because I think, you know, [Fox News host] Chris Wallace and I were probably talking past each other."

Trump's campaign jumped on the comments almost immediately, cutting an attack ad featuring Clinton's "short-circuited" remarks and releasing the video on Facebook later that evening.

Trump, who has also been caught repeating several falsehoods throughout his presidential campaign, said in the Facebook post that there was "NO DOUBT" Clinton was a "PATHOLOGICAL LIAR."

"She's a security risk and admits she 'short circuited' -- UNBELIEVABLE!" Trump wrote.

Clinton, for her part, attempted her own video fact-check of Trump on Twitter Friday, examining Trump's claims that "I don't throw babies out" of rallies.
