Dodd Postpones Hearing On Fannie And Freddie
Senate Banking Committee Chairman Chris Dodd has postponed a hearing on the government bailout of mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac scheduled for Tuesday.
Dodd made the announcement in a news release. He failed to give a reason for the cancellation.
Both Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson and Federal Housing Finance Agency Director James B. Lockhart III were scheduled to testify.
A makeup date for the hearing has not been announced.
