Divac Lifts Kings Over Nuggets

Vlade Divac had 21 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists as the Sacramento Kings held off the Denver Nuggets in the fourth quarter for a 110-104 victory Saturday night.

Chris Webber, who had 23 points and 11 rebounds, scored on a dunk to finish a 9-2 run and put the Kings ahead 106-96 with 1:36 remaining.

Chauncey Billups had a three-point play as the Nuggets ran off seven straight points to get within 106-103 with 33 seconds left. Two free throws by Predrag Stojakovic and one each by Jason Williams and Jon Barry helped the Kings maintain the lead.

Nick Van Exel had 29 points and nine assists for Denver, which is 1-18 on the road this season. Danny Fortson added 22 points and 17 rebounds for the Nuggets, while Antonio McDyess had 19 points and 12 rebounds and Eric Washington added 19 points.

Williams finished with 13 points, nine assists and eight rebounds for the Kings.
