Disney, Universal Studios workers arrested in child sex sting

BARTOW, Fla. - A Universal Studios worker and two Disney World employees are among the suspects arrested on charges of soliciting minors online for sex after an investigation led by the Polk County Police Department.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said Tuesday that those arrests and 13 others were the result of an undercover sting that also targeted possession and distribution of child pornography.

The Tampa Tribune reports the sheriff's operation happened in two phases with the first targeting child pornography, the latter online solicitations.

A geometry teacher at a central Florida high school was among those arrested in the first phase of the sting. The teacher had previously worked 25 miles west of Tampa reports CBS affiliate WKMG.

A University of South Florida student and a Palm Harbor man were included in those arrested in the second phase and face charges including traveling to meet after using a computer to lure a child.
