(CBS) Bristol Palin's appearance at the Candie's Foundation benefit gala on Tuesday night has the Internet buzzing - and some are questioning whether Sarah Palin's daughter has gone under the knife.
The teen abstinence advocate and "Dancing with the Stars" finalist's jawline seems to look different in photos from the event.
Gawker wrote about it in a post titled "Bristol Palin's Face Looks Different, Doesn't It?" (which has a bunch of then-and-now pictures) and questioned whether the change was due to plastic surgery or weight fluctuations.
"Based on her dramatically different jawline, it would appear that Briston Palin had, as they say, 'some work done,'" Yahoo's OMG blog posted, adding that Palin's "chin is visibly larger, most likely because of an implant; her old chin was cute too. But she looks like a whole 'nother person - especially when she smiles and New Chin juts out."
A source close to Palin told E! Online that the 20-year-old would never have plastic surgery, saying "she isn't that kind of person." The source added that she "has lost a tremendous amount of weight since 'Dancing With the Stars' and that is most likely the reason for the speculation."
However, the website also sent before-and-after pictures to a plastic surgeon, who said he noticed a "dramatic difference" in the lower third of Palin's face.
"She's lost a little volume in her cheeks from weight loss, which you'd expect in someone young, but the lower third of her face is a dramatic difference," Dr. Brian Glatt, a board-certified New Jersey-based plastic surgeon, told E! Online. "You could draw a line across the lower third, it's like two different people."
What do you think? Did Palin get plastic surgery, or could the changes be attributed to weight loss? Tell us your thoughts in the comments.
