Derek Boberg (PICTURE): New Mexico State Student Arrested on 68 Child Porn Counts

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (CBS/AP) Derek Boberg, a 22-year-old college student -- and criminal justice major -- has been arrested on 68 counts of manufacturing, distributing and possessing child pornography.

Police say the New Mexico State University student is accused of receiving pornographic images or videos of children on a home computer in March.

Investigators also learned that Boberg was involved in an illicit relationship with a 14-year-old girl from Albuquerque. That relationship remains under investigation.

He was arrested Friday, May 28 and jailed at the Dona Ana County jail on $545,000 cash bond.

Boberg's Facebook profile says he is a criminal justice major at NMSU in Las Cruces.

His "about me" section on his Facebook page reads, "No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously!"
