Demi Moore: Ashton Keeps Me Young, Twitter "Cuts Out the Middle Man"

LOS ANGELES (CBS) I first met the always lovely Demi Moore while participating in her hubby, Ashton Kutcher's, live streaming competition called "24 Hours At Sundance" in January of 2009.

Remember, this is before Oprah joined Twitter and the world was abuzz with Kutcher fighting Larry King and CNN to reach a million followers. Demi quickly followed in his footsteps, tweeting fans and sharing her intimate moments and thoughts with the public. Their participation in this new medium marked a new era in Hollywood.

Just because they've gained notoriety with the online scene doesn't mean they're ditching the traditional media that brought them to this point. If anything, when done right, the two can work hand in hand.

Demi is currently promoting her film, "The Joneses," to be released this Friday April 16. I stopped by her junket for a little video blogging action with her and co-star David Duchovny.

The film has them playing parents to what appears to be a perfect family in the suburbs, which is really just a setup by a PR agency promoting their own luxury brands.

We spoke a bit about the film, and why she continues to love Twitter: "I like being able to reach and connect with people, who in the physical world I would never have the opportunity to. Most importantly, it's put me in a place where I am proactive instead of reactive."

Despite how much she continues to be open and accessible, the one question that never fails to loom in the minds of her Twitter fans and some of us regular folk seems to be - what keeps her looking so awesome?

"Laughter and smiling is one of the best anecdotes for aging," she says. "And [Ashton's] funny, so he makes me laugh."

Demi and Ashton continue to spread their positivity online. They recently launched DNA, a foundation to help end child sex slavery worldwide. You can find out more on their site: http://demiandashton.org
