Deceased City Recorder Wins Election
One day after he died from an apparent heart attack, the city recorder in Ripley, West Virginia, was easily re-elected.
Bill Casto received about 200 more votes than the candidate who came in second.
Casto was 74 and had heart problems.
The city's newly elected mayor says replacing Casto will be a priority when she takes office July First. But she says she isn't sure of the procedure for filling the position.
