(CBS) PAHOKEE, Fla - The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said a young mother has been missing since the weekend and her children's babysitter, who is also their godmother, was found dead, CBS affiliate WPEC reported.

The mother, Deborah Jessie, was last seen on Sunday afternoon, about one week after she filed a restraining order against her boyfriend, Jammy Washington, said the station.

Police told WPEC they've ruled the death of the babysitter, 57-year-old Crystal Anderson, a homicide.

Jessie was supposed to go to the local courthouse for a hearing Tuesday but she never appeared, reported WPEC.

Larry Young, Jessie's father, told the station he fears the worst has happened to his daughter.

Police have not yet indicated whether or not the disappearance and the death are related and they have not stated whether Washington is a suspect in either, according to the station.
